3D Fabricating with Susanne

I have been trying to catch up, and I am committed to doing what I promised. However, things get in the way like my real job, and sometimes my real life. I keep on saying I will get ahead one day. I am determined to get some things off my check list this weekend.

I have been sprucing up my apartment a little and have some major spring cleaning to do shortly when my new bed frame arrives on Monday. It is the kind of bed frame with the drawers in it so I will have some more storage solutions. I am really lacking in storage in this place either that or I have too much stuff.

With the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue coming in a very short time it is also nice to make some room for all the new things but also reflect on some things that have given us joy and happiness last year. I for one am sad to see the old in colours leave, Pretty Peacock is my favorite and also Seaside Spray. So sad to say goodbye. Have you had a chance to see the retiring list? I am not going to give you a print out but if you click on the picture below you can go directly to the online store and see ALL of the products that are retiring. Hello! I hope you are heading into a crafty weekend. I have really had my hands full this week. I have had some really “interesting” situations with strangers this week and I am excited to hide away in my apartment and craft. I am finding people are frazzled and irritable and are not showing a lot of kindness these days. I wish I had more cards in my purse to hand out to try to change their frowns upside down. Hello hello hello. How was your week? The first week in March and many things have happened. Sale-a-bration is over, the Butterfly Brilliance bundle is open for purchase and Easter is a month away. For today’s project I am using up some Sale-a-bration DSP up. I love how there is a lot of plaid in the Berry Delightful DSP. The project can be adapted to any size but today I modified it a little for the large rectangles of Merci chocolates. Check this out.

I have been missing Friday projects for the last 3 weeks. It’s because I was procrastinating. However, this last weekend I ate the ugly frog and did the deed. This was kinda crazy to make and I do hope you enjoy the videos. I have a part one, part 2 and a 3rd video (in a post after this one) that has nothing to do with the first two but it’s to make up for missing 3 weeks. Do you ever do that? Avoid a tough job and do all the other jobs just to keep yourself with busy work so you don’t have to do the big job? I do it all the time and it’s one of the things I am trying to work on. My first build of the year is focused on cardmaking. I feel as a card maker I should use my box making abilities to create a holder for my art pieces. This year is no different. I hope to wow you with my mathematics and all my hacks that make these little holders a snap to build. Check them out.

Hello Friday Friends.  I hope you are headed into a lovely weekend.  Here is today’s build.  I hope you like it.  I think I may have figured out why it was a bit off.  Scoring wise, I suggested that one goes to the very end of the paper…but I think one must only go to the score line.  You’ll see in the video.  Have a great weekend.

The Details:

• Cardstock sizing:  10 1/2″ X 8″
• Long side scoring: 2 1/2″, 5″, 7 1/2″, & 10″.
• Short side scoring:  DRAW pencil line at 1″, 2″, 6″ & 7″.

Score with ruler angled lines within the pencil line and the score lines, creating triangles.  Burnish all score lines and then trim away triangles on the outside of the card stock only.
