3D Fabricating with Susanne

Today’s project is really late. Don’t ask, but I may have broken a toe, bashed my bad knee up again, hurt my elbow and injured my tendons…all on separate occasions. So….you can kind of say that I am having a not so great weekend. Please excuse the lateness of this video, I had to bubble wrap myself to get to the computer to edit this video as I do not trust myself to do any menial task without injury.

Today’s project is a super cute seed packed using the “Bloom Where You Are Planted” DSP. I fussy cut some of the images out and used the paper as a backdrop for the box. It’s so cute. Today’s project is a decorating one, as I have 6 Mini Jam Jars to play with. These cute containers are food safe, but not heat safe. They can be used for dry or wet ingredients but also for fun things like embellishments and crafting supplies!

Today’s project is a long stout box. I had a wonderful day creating this project because I was able to use this amazing paper called Patterned Party Designer Series Paper!

Today’s project is a shadow box. Anything special can be adhered to the inside to create a little framed box around the gift or picture. Or it can be created just to show off your pretty paper. I always say its better to craft with something than hoard it!. I used the Sweet as a Peach DSP to decorate with. I have so many ideas on how to use these products. I love it when you see products like this and just get all inspired!

Today’s project is a box I created to hold regular sized business cards, however it soon became clear to me that the box could be used for a whole lot more than boring business supplies. I ended up covering it with the Expressions in ink Designer Series Paper. Did you know that this paper has a ephemera pack that goes with it. Today’s project is an upcycled Fleu de Sel container that I just didn’t want to recycle because of the fabulous cork lid. I ended up covering it with the Expressions in ink Designer Series Paper. Today’s project is a gorgeous box made from the Expressions in ink Designer Series Paper. I have always said that if you insist on hoarding your paper why not make something pretty from it. You can still keep it! At least it saw the light of day. The sentiment was from a brand new stamp set in the annual catalogue called Artistically Inked.

Today’s project is a very tiny little box made from the Hand Penned Memories & More Card pack by Stampin’ Up!. I have made the largest box I could with the simplest measurements out of the largest card that was in the card Pack. The sentiment was from a brand new stamp set in the annual catalogue called Inspired Thoughts.

Today’s project is all about the new In-Colours. Every year we say good bye to 5 of our older in colours and say hello to our new ones. These ones will stay for 2 years. I really thought I was going to have to get one for every colour but I had a good think and realized that I create with ALL the colours without having to have a full set of blending brushes. I mention in the video of a favour from you. Please either sandbox or give feedback to Stampin’ Up! that we need our own Lazy Susan blending brush holder. I am going to sandbox this request every week until I they succumb to my harassments.

Hello and TGIF! I hope you enjoy the project for today. I like these big projects that can be useful for the season at hand. I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. I don’t have anything special planned for the weekend. I have a few small errands to do but pretty much I am sheltering in place, trying to make the most of my time at home. The weather is starting to warm up and that means that it’s time to do some spring cleaning!

I have been trying to catch up, and I am committed to doing what I promised. However, things get in the way like my real job, and sometimes my real life. I keep on saying I will get ahead one day. I am determined to get some things off my check list this weekend.

I have been sprucing up my apartment a little and have some major spring cleaning to do shortly when my new bed frame arrives on Monday. It is the kind of bed frame with the drawers in it so I will have some more storage solutions. I am really lacking in storage in this place either that or I have too much stuff.

With the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue coming in a very short time it is also nice to make some room for all the new things but also reflect on some things that have given us joy and happiness last year. I for one am sad to see the old in colours leave, Pretty Peacock is my favorite and also Seaside Spray. So sad to say goodbye. Have you had a chance to see the retiring list? Hello! I hope you are heading into a crafty weekend. I have really had my hands full this week. I have had some really “interesting” situations with strangers this week and I am excited to hide away in my apartment and craft. I am finding people are frazzled and irritable and are not showing a lot of kindness these days. I wish I had more cards in my purse to hand out to try to change their frowns upside down. Hello hello hello. How was your week? The first week in March and many things have happened. Sale-a-bration is over, the Butterfly Brilliance bundle is open for purchase and Easter is a month away. For today’s project I am using up some Sale-a-bration DSP up. I love how there is a lot of plaid in the Berry Delightful DSP. The project can be adapted to any size but today I modified it a little for the large rectangles of Merci chocolates. Check this out.

I have been missing Friday projects for the last 3 weeks. It’s because I was procrastinating. However, this last weekend I ate the ugly frog and did the deed. This was kinda crazy to make and I do hope you enjoy the videos. I have a part one, part 2 and a 3rd video (in a post after this one) that has nothing to do with the first two but it’s to make up for missing 3 weeks. Do you ever do that? Avoid a tough job and do all the other jobs just to keep yourself with busy work so you don’t have to do the big job? I do it all the time and it’s one of the things I am trying to work on. My first build of the year is focused on cardmaking. I feel as a card maker I should use my box making abilities to create a holder for my art pieces. This year is no different. I hope to wow you with my mathematics and all my hacks that make these little holders a snap to build. Check them out.

The Details:

• 2 pieces of card sized: 7″ x 7 1/2″
• Scoring on the short sides at: 4 1/2 and 6 1/2″
• Scoring on the long side at: 1 3/4″ watch the video for the tick marks.
• DSP sized at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ watch the video for the measurement hack!

The Details:

• Cardstock sizing: 10″ x 6″
• Long side scoring at: 1″, 4 1/2″ 5 1/2″ and 9″.
• Short Side scoring at: 1/2″, 1 1/2″ 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2″

DSP is sized at 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ for the mat and 2 1/2″ x 3″ for the DSP.
