Fabricate Friday – The 2025 Card Holder Box

Hello friends. Happy New Year. It has been a tradition on this blog and YouTube channel to have the very first Fabricate Friday video a Card Holder box. This is a “mini magazine holder” type build. I have had quite a few versions of this over the years but this one comes from one piece of cardstock and as long as you follow the directions yours will come out perfectly as well. I am using a beautiful new paper that is a gift with purchase and it’s called Bloom Impressions and it’s gorgeous. The build info is below, enjoy the video.

Anyway, I hope you like this little build, simple but fun.

The Details:

1 pc of cardstock sized at 8-1/2″ x 11″
Start scoring on the long side at 1/2″ and 2.
Turn it round and score at 4-1/2 to the 2″ scored line. Score at 6″ and 10-1/2″

To Decorate with patterned paper;

For the sides: Patterned Paper sized: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ you will need to cut those down, watch video for the “eyeballing method”.
For the front: 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″

Hello friends. For today’s (which is my birthday) project I wanted to share a something cute that showcases the patterned paper that is on sale. I also wanted to say that I was able to preorder some of the papers from the holiday catalogue and I really loved them. I really hope you can see the value of sharing. 1 pc of cardstock sized at 5-1/2″ x 6-1/4″
Score on one short side at: 1/2″, 1-3/4″, 3″ and 4-1/4″.
Score on the long side at: 1/2″,1-3/4″, 4-1/2″ and 5-3/4″

To Decorate with patterned paper;

For the Lid : Patterned Paper sized: 1-1/8″ x 1-1/8″

Hello friends. For today’s project was a project that I wanted to share in July but had some filming issues. So, it’s not really Christmas in July but rather a nod to that sort of thing in August. Fun Fold Friday – Flippy Flappy sentiments.

Hello friends. I honestly don’t know the name of this fun fold…and that is kinda the norm for me. I do like it and it comes together pretty quickly. Watch the video and let me know what you like about it.

In this card I used a retired Saleabration dsp on this card. If you have it use it. Lol. I love the patterned paper and I have loads left. I actually really love it and hope you do too!

Fun Fold Friday – A Triangle book mark with this one.

Hello friends. I am a bit late getting this post/video to you. I didn’t get a chance to edit it until today. So better later than never! Today I have a very simple fun fold for with an extra gift. I honestly don’t know the name as it’s kind of different for sure. Leave a message in the comments if you know.

In this card I used a several salebration items on this card. The dsp, the embossing folder and the stamp set. I actually really love it and hope you do too!

Fabricate Friday – A cubed box

TGIF everyone. I hope you are headed into a fun weekend. Today I am sharing one of my favorite build type. Cubed boxes. I once made over 30 of these boxes and handed them out to a friends birthday party to give the guests a little something to take home with them. It was a hit, and no one really says no to chocolate. Anyway, these cuties are easy to make, fun to decorate and really joyous to give away. Will you try making one? I dare you.

I just love the cute little lid. These cube boxes are my ultimate favorite. I talk about a challenge that my team was given about creating a card with either stripes or dots. Tell me…which one do you like best? Strips or dots. In this case the dots are made of stripes, does that make them stripy dots or dotty stripes?

- Base: 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ scored at 2 1/2″ on all 4 sides.
