Hello and welcome to another fantastic project’s blog post. Today I am featuring a really awesome patterned paper called Heart & Home. The great thing about this paper is that it has a white washed wood B side. Why I think that is awesome is because it lends itself to simplistic or complicated card designs, it can have a woodsy cottage feel or it can go full on masculine! I feel that this paper is super versatile and encourage you to check it out.

 The Details:

Cut 2 pieces of cardstock sized 6-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ and score each the same.

• Score one side at 2″ and 5-3/4″ turn score and the other side at 3/4″, 2-3/4″ and 4-3/4″.

Patterned Paper Sizing:

• 3 pcs sized at 3-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ for the front, back and top.
• 2 pcs sized at 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″

One of my stamping friends asked me to create a fun box for Smarties. I was happy to oblige and hope that she is happy with what I came up with. I hope you enjoy this tutorial as well, perhaps you can fill this box with some other treat that is just as special as Smarties.

TGIF! I want to share a really awesome project with you today. I can’t tell you enough how versatile this paper is. I went from a diorama card to a greeting card with book mark to a pretty cube lidded box in my crafting adventure with this paper. Have you seen how pretty it is? • Sides are 4 pc sized 2-1/4″ x 1-3/4″, and then sliced at 1/2″ at the top.

Happy Friday to you. For today’s project I decided to venture out and do a masculine box. A nod to sports if you will. I am not sure what I shall put in this cute box or whom I shall gift it to but I thought it would be nice for a few folks out there that do have sports fans in their lives. I have been talking loudly as I am wearing N95 masks at work with a material one overtop for the protection of my clients. Ergo, I have been straining my voice. I was fully attentive to the event but of course something had to give and I wasn’t fully ready to go with these projects … however, I did have time and I am releasing them together. 3D Fabricating with Susanne

The title implies that there was a lot of math to make this box come together and I had to use my little pea brain to figure it all out. That being said, after a very, very long time I was able to work it all out and I have come up with the most professional looking box I have EVER made. I used a patterned paper called Painted Christmas, the design I used is my favorite out of the pack. The details are below with the video but just look at the beauty of the box!

 The Details:

• Bottom Box- Cardstock sizing: 9 1/2″ x 8 3/8″
• Long side scoring: 5/8″, 1-3/4″, 2-7/8″, 6-5/8″, 7-3/4″, and 8-7/8″
• Short side scoring: 7/8″, 2″, 6-3/8″, and 7-1/2″
• Insert for bottom of the box is sized at: 3-5/8″ x 4-1/4″

• Top Lid Box- Cardstock sizing: 9-1/2″, 8-1/2″
• Long side scoring: 3/4″, 1-3/4″, 2-3/4″ 6-3/4″, 7-3/4″, and 8-3/4″
• Short side scoring: 1″, 2″, 6-1/2″, and 7-1/2″
• Belly Band is sized at: 3″ x 8-1/2″, and scored at 1″, 2″, 6-1/2″ and 7-1/2″

This patterned paper you will be able to purchase on Aug 3. It’s called Sweet Stockings and it’s absolutely adorable. The artist who made this “got” the animals correctly. The happiest of dogs, golden retrievers and the cat in a box so smug, and the kitty begrudgingly wearing the deer antlers. OMG. If you like pets, this paper is for you!

I enjoy little boxes. I love how each one of them comes together and can make something special from something ordinary. This little box could hold so many things…also a great place setting for your holiday table.
