Fabricate Friday – Handy Notes

Hello, I hope you are all well and doing wonderful.  Today I am driving to Calgary to attend a Stampin’ Up! event called Onstage.  This is a gathering of demonstrators from across the western part of Canada to share in the crafty goodness that is Stampin’ Up!  I get to meet new people, stamp a little, learn about the new products coming out in the new catalog and altogether have a good time.  A usual thing that I do at this type of event is that I make little gifts for the girls that are on the team that I am on.  I know no one from my team will see this till next week so I don’t mind sharing with you.  The other gift I shall share with you next Friday after all the girls have gotten their gifts. So this little project is something that one can throw into their purse and use as a handy note pad.  Doesn’t someone always ask “Do you have any paper on you?”  Why, yes…yes I do we (paper crafters) should always say don’t you think?  I do.

So anyway, I will try to post as many pictures as I can on my Facebook page.  I get so involved that I sometimes forget to take a quick pic.  There are somethings that I am not allowed to share and some things that I can. I may even post a shot or two of me having a milkshake at Peter’s Drive in or the fancy dinner my sister is planning to have with me.  Oh, and don’t worry about the crafting kitties Molly & Quinn, they are being well looked after by the daughter who lives upstairs.  I even pay her very well so she does an extra special job looking after  the fuzz butts.  Enough chatter, on with the show….

Here are the links to what I have used on today’s project. Please click on the picture or wording to be taken to the online store. If you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission as your demonstrator with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when shopping with me. Please do not hesitate to ask me a question as I am here to help you.

Cardstock sizing; 8 1/2″ by 2 1/8″

Long side scoring at 1 7/8″, 2″, 5 3/8″ and 5 1/2″.

Wonderwork Wednesday – Inside the Mailbox

Hello and welcome.  I hope you are having a great week.  I have to tell you that I am and it’s all due to the wonderful cards I have gotten from all over the world this month.  I am sharing a quick video today featuring the mail I have received this month.  It’s a pretty special thing when one gets something other than bills in the mail.  I do get the occasional card from a subscriber or crafty friend here and there but this month was special.  You see, a few months ago I joined a Facebook group called “The Random Act of Kindness” group headed by an Australian Demonstrator Kylie Bertucci.  I mailed out quite a few cards as I could and low and behold I finally got some amazing cards in my mail box.  I thought I would share the cards with you for inspiration and a little description of how they made it.

I want encourage you to sign up too.  The link is below the video. Who knows, if you sign up I may be the one who sends you a RAK card.  🙂  One thing to note, the cards are required to be made from “Stampin’ Up! current product”.  There are some pretty creative people out there…here’s the video.  Thanks for watching.

Random Act of Kindness Facebook Group

If you don’t want have Facebook or don’t want to join the group, you are welcome to send me one of your creations and I will share it with my viewers next month.  I am hoping to share these cards plus all of the swaps I get at OnStage next month too.  You will find my snail mail address below or on the “Connect with Me” page on this blog.

Monday Makes- Another Dragonfly Card

Hello thank you for stopping by.  I really am trying to use other stamp sets but I keep coming back to this one.  I have to say it is quite versatile and a lot of fun to work with.  Have you gotten this one yet?  If this stamp set and die are being carried over into the new catalog, I can guarantee you it will not be bundled.  Stampin’ Up!® likes to give us deals when items first come out so if you want both of these best to get them now before the 10 % discount goes away.  The ink Mint Macaron is also going to be retired when the new catalog comes out June 1st so you may want to check your reinker status.  Once it’s gone it’s gone for good.  Enough doom and gloom, check out today’s card.

If you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission as your demonstrator with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when shopping with me. Paper Pumpkin March 2017 Alternatives

Hello and welcome.  Glad to see you here.  I have 3 announcements today.

  1. Stampin’ Up! has released some new products for sale-a-bration yesterday.  If you still need more encouragement to shop then there it is.  Sale-a-bration is almost over.
  2.  Sara Douglas the CEO of Stampin’ Up! has designed next month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and there will be a FREE gift inside the box from her.  If you want to sign up please do so.
  3. Starting with March’s Paper Pumpkin, I will be giving my monthly subscribers a perk.  In your email there will be an inspiration package offering you about a dozen exclusive, never seen before tutorials on how to use your Paper Pumpkin supplies in an alternative way (this is in addition to the alternatives I share with you on video) .   I hope you sign up with me today to get creative.

Here are my alternatives for this month that I am featuring in video.

PS.  I made a mistake and said the colour “Pear Pizzaz” instead of “Pink Pirouette” just thought I would let you know that I am not colour blind and I do know the difference between Pink and Green but sometimes the alliteration of the names of the colours gets me all tongue tied.  Also, please forgive the guest appearance of Molly and Quinn in this video.  They are indoor kitties and sometimes like to torment their human.
