Hi there. I have 2 lovely clients that are taking their leave of Canada and going to travel to Europe and beyond. As their stylist I thought I would treat them with a nice gift and while I was fetching it from the supplier I realized that this would be a great opportunity to wrap it up Stampin’ Up! style. Here is a picture of the finished product, the video follows and the supply list is at the bottom in case you wish to purchase with me. 🙂

Susanne, another bright and thoughtful idea on your part…..Mom
Thanks Mommy.
A thoughtful, and beautifully packaged gift! I like map backing paper, and I have some, but as it is so difficult to find, I am loathe to use it; once again ‘saving it’ aka hoarding!?! I have often thought of using old maps, but it feels like sacrilege to cut into a book; I have done it once; I wanted to make a book for a magical/fairy card, so I bought a second hand magical story book to fit the subject matter and it worked perfectly. Though looking at the card now, I wish I had sponged the paper more, as you did with the maps, it makes a world of difference, they look like a ‘treasure map’ now! which I suppose that is what a map is essentially – a world full of treasures, which I hope your friends discover on their journey. And thanks to you, at least their hair will look good, and that’s the main thing!!! 😉
I feel the same way about books. However a few years back i went to a craft fair and they sold a tonne of vintage text, map and dictionary papers. I figured I would use it as I am low on my designer papers from stampin up. I use it often in the art journal. I don’t know if you heard the kittens playing too rough in the background of the video and I had to squirt them with the dreaded water bottle. So funny cause I just kept on working on the box. Lol. Anyway, yes the MOST important thing in travelling is having good hair. 😀
Yes, I did hear the kittens and it sounded like they were having way too much fun, you did well carrying on filming, I thought you were deep in concentration!?! Hope you have a good weekend; oh what am I saying, of course you will, its almost your birthday! have a fabulous time!!! Lots of love, Karen x
Thanks Karen. You too have a very nice weekend. Happy crafting.
