Fabricate Friday – A Golden Soap Box

Hi friends,  I’m on a gold foil paper kick right now.  I am trying to use my paper products instead of hoarding them so this is the project that I choose to make for today.  Love the glitter and the shine.  Ha!  I’ve listed the products I used in this project below the video in case you wanted to grab yourself some stuff from my store.  🙂

Gold Soap Box

Card stock:  7 by 6 3/4

Scoring:

  • Short side (6 3/4 length at the top of your scoring tool): Score at 1/2, 1 1/2, 5 1/4, 6 1/4
  • Long side (7): Score at 1, 3 1/4, 4 1/4, 6 1/4

Check out the video for the tutorial.  The above measurements are the correct ones I promise.

Hi Susanne, another great video – you do make me smile! I thought it was just me who ‘forgot a step’ (like working on something for two hours last night, then discovering it was all upside down!?!) You have encouraged me to use my Foil Cardstock – I’ve been hording for years, now all the good stuff is coming out, it’s looking good! Thanks for another great idea. Have a good weekend. Karen S x

Oh Karen, sounds like we are similar people. If you lived closer and we may have been crafting buddies. Lol.

Hi Susanne, I was thinking the same thing myself! And when I saw the photo’s of where you live in your ‘About Me’ section, I was wishing the same thing – what a lovely place to live, so beautiful! Anyway, I am now crafting along with you from time to time. Inspired by how well my version of your Gold Glitter & Foil Yankee Candle box turned out, I made some boxes to hold gifts (and a lovely card) for my Mum (it’s Mother’s Day here in the UK) – so Thank You for the inspiration and confidence to give it a go! All the Best, Karen

Yes, my town is great to live in…especially in the summer. Perhaps I’ll try to take a few more pictures to put up there. Glad you are enjoying some of my projects and that you have a purpose for them. Mother’s Day isn’t until May here, but my own Mommy’s 79th birthday is coming up next week so I guess I should start thinking about making a nice card for her. Did you see she comments on every project here? She’s so sweet. Anyway, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment here and there I really do appreciate it. 🙂
