Monday Makes – A Blossoms in Bloom Card

Hi friends.

It has been a while.  Thanks for giving me some space so I could re-group.  You may not know this but I own my own salon and after being closed for 2 months there was a great many things to do, a lot of new procedures and policies to develop, a lot of hard work and also the worries of maybe not being able to weather the covid storm.  I have been under a tremendous amount of stress dealing with it all and I do very much appreciate that I can step back from the blog and YouTube channel for a bit to focus on what needs to be done without pressure from my lovely and amazing customers.  Stampin’ Up! is not my full time gig like it is with some other big names in Canada.  I am a very small fish doing my best in this competitive direct sales crafting business. When something big like the Covid-19 pandemic (or even when I was renovating my salon) happens sometimes I have to take a step back to focus on the big picture.  I know that it is disappointing to some.  I get emails/messages daily asking where, what and why.  I want you to know that my stamping family, customers, team members, subscribers and followers mean a great deal to me.  Right now it’s not my full time job and I needed to step away from the constant onslaught of creating and producing in order to concentrate on my real career for a time.

I will admit that it really was lovely when I was isolating because I had all the time to spend creating and producing and that gave me purpose.  However, all the isolating was a bit hard on my mental health as well.  I don’t talk about this much but I assume that you can understand that some folks are more affected by it than others.  This is true for me.  As much as it was nice to interact with all my internet friends it is not the same as chatting one on one.   I live alone with 2 cats in a very tiny apartment.  Somedays it was really hard.  I don’t very often spill personal stuff on my blog but since I did get some backlash for not being online for a bit I felt I needed to explain.  I do ask for kindness and understanding because it may happen again in the future…who knows?  I know my limits and feel fortunate that this Stampin’ Up! side hustle is adjustable to suit my needs.

In conclusion, I want to say this, no matter what I am going through, I am in a constant state of gratitude and so very thankful for Stampin’ Up! the company,  for my really amazing talented team and my fantastic customers.  Every single time when I am struggling a bit with something, amazing things happen to help me out.  I am so very grateful for all the opportunities that I have been given and please know that I am more committed to this “jobby” each and every day.  I could go on and on here.  I really could…. but I won’t because I know exactly why you came here today…and me gibberjabbing about my life is not it.  However, if you did want to discuss things with me and hear my story you may be interested in the joining offer that Stampin’ Up! has going on till the end of the month.  Check it out below.

Now, for the reason why you are here!  Today’s inspiration.  I am so pleased to share with you a design from the Blossoms in Blooms Bundle.  I spent some time on the weekend and created a new online class featuring this bundle and am really impressed with how many techniques I could do with it.  I created 3 designs for the Online Card Class, today’s content and 2 more designs for the blog and 1 more for the amazing crew at the VIP SuNN Social Facebook Group.  It’s going to be a Blossoms in Bloom week!  I have 2 more ideas up my sleeve so you can trust me when I say that this is a very versatile bundle that can create some fun and beautiful designs.

If you are interested in learning about the Online Card Class please click the button below to see the new registration procedure and more information about the class.  You may also notice that I have streamlined the blog a little bit to help with ease of use and tidy some dusty corners.

Thank you for sharing your personal story. We are all doing the best we can to get through this crisis. You take the time required to readjust & I for one will be happy to continue doing Stampin’ Up with you. You are amazing and so supportive to your customers. I hope all goes well during the relaunch of your salon.

Hi Suzanne. NEVER apologize for what you go through. You are not alone, we have your back! As retirees, my husband and I have too felt very alone at times – no visits with the grandchildren, missing our hugs. I miss the few customers I have (I don’t do virtual as I am not tech savvy and most of my customers are seniors like me and don’t do virtual either). Getting out to even go for a walk has been a nice change but still a little scary. You do what is right for YOU, not us. We will wait for you. Thank you for thinking of us though. Take care and stay safe as you reopen to the public with the salon.
